![]() ![]() To try Kiwix in server mode, download the precompiled code and unzip it. After you've got it going you can index the file to make full-text search available. You also need a ZIM file containing some Wikipedia pages (I used Simple English Wikipedia as it's relatively small at 730Mb). To try the actual Kiwix program you need to download the rc2 source and compile it as I described. You can try it out for yourself quite quickly, using the pre-compiled kiwix server rc1 was quite slow, so rc2 appeared to be much faster. Nothing special, and 'fast' is all relative.
